As artists and designers it is often our job to transform what is perceived as mundane into something extraordinary. I have developed a series of Drawing 1 projects called, “Ordinary/Extraordinary” in hopes of teaching students how to embrace this endeavor of transformation as well as how to develop a creative process that leads them to compelling visual solutions.
